Rock the boat, don't tip the boat over

So, here's the short version of the story behind this axle support extension:

From the start we intended to have these ply extensions outside of the metal frame. The narrow configuration was to be used on the dyno (didn't have to build a wide dyno) and for legal travel. The wide config was for out in the wind. We could bolt and unbolt them as needed.

After we put the narrow config on the dyno and it turned out to be plenty stable we left it narrow and took it to Ivanpah for our early tests. All would have been fine in Ivanpah with the narrow rig if not for the fact that we went faster out of the box than we expected. The higher speeds created more reaction torque from the propeller and thus we were lighter on the right side of the vehicle than we expected.

Before we went out again we decided to add just the left side extension which will counter the added torque we get from our higher prop speeds. With only one extension, we'll even be able to leave it all together (minus the wheels/axles) for travel.
