Today is the 5th of April. All those who predicted this was all an elaborate 'April Fools' joke can now go to work on new theories -- sorry that one didn't pan out for you. :-)
It's no joke and is an absolutely serious program folks, one where we will soon have an internationally recognized sanctioning body ratifying a DDW speed record for the project that is more than double the speed of the wind.
No motors, no rubber bands, no flywheels, no tricks -- just the clever application of simple sailing physics doing something that common intuition says can't be done.
